About Me

I've been associated with Powerful Learning Practice since 2008, most recently as a Connected Coach. In this role I get to work with school teams from across the United States and Canada. All PLP work is done online in closed virtual communities. I am active in various online educational communities, as well as an avid Twitter user (@gcarboni) who has a passion for sharing good educational resources to facilitate change. From 2011 to 2014 I was a member of The University of Pennsylvania’s Distributed Leadership team and serve on my school’s Technology Vision & Planning team. I dedicate my time to developing in-house staff development for 50+ teachers, administrators, and support staff. I have presented at various diocesan Technology In-services hosted by the Archdiocese of Philadelphia and The Connelly Foundation. I had the honor of being named a Diocesan Technology Star in 2009 and a Keystones Innovator in 2014 and recently earned my Google Educator Certification.  My site Play to Learn & Learn to Share is a site focused on helping educators embrace change and engage their students with new technologies making them ready to enter the 21st Century Workforce.
